Velcro works by having two straps, one with many small hooks, and the other has very small loops that the hooks can hold on to when the two objects are pressed together. Velcro hooks are usually made of nylon and polyester where the hooks are stronger and thicker than wood.

Adhesive Velcro can be applied directly to the hidden areas of your wood if the app will not show. If the purpose of the tape is to hold the object permanently, the glue will work. If your wood is overcrowded and has small teeth, you may need to use a little acetone to remove the smoothness.
Although Velcro adhesive straps can be very strong, they are not strong enough to bind the skin permanently. Although you can attach Velcro to the skin using glue, not all glues will work. Instead, you need to use glue that stays flexible when dry, like solid skin glue
